If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram you’ve probably seen little snippets of my morning routine, specifically my miracle morning routine.
For the past few months I have adopted a morning routine that I love with all my heart. It’s gotten to the point where I’m excited to go to bed just so I can go through my routine. How did this come about? Well, I started bullet journaling a few months ago and I was on the hunt for some fun prompts to include in my journal. One of the prompts I found was to create your miracle morning routine. I thought this might be nice change because at the time all I did was wake up, and run for the coffee maker. Don’t get me wrong, I still do those things just in a different order.
The purpose of this is to create something for YOU. This routine is your special time to start your day off right and set you up for success.
My routine is wonderful and it’s changes every so often, it just depends on how I’m feeling that day.
I have broken my routine into three parts mind, body and spirit. Why? Because I don’t want to neglect these parts of my being. They’re crucial and I think it’s good to spend a little time nurturing them. In each category there’s five or more things, and I choose one from each. If’ I have the time I do more than one.
In Mind category I like to do something that gets me thinking, like a podcast, reading out of my daily mantra book, or brainstorming ideas i’ve been working on.
In the Body category, I do something that will benefit my body like eat my favorite healthy breakfast, go to a spin class or a dance class and get my body moving.
Lastly is the Spirit category. This category is my favorite, I’ll meditate, pray, or read some inspiring quotes.
This combination of things have made mornings so enjoyable. I can’t get enough of it.
