Ya’ll, the hump day playlist is back. I don’t know about you but when I’ve got good music it makes my day go by so much quicker.
This playlist has a littlest of everything, which is my favorite type of playlist. Each track is a surprise and tbh that’s the best feeling.
Stay tuned every Wednesday for a new playlist!
Caution, windy roads ahead.
When I was a child I always wished I was older so I could get to do all the cool things life had to offer like go to homecoming, prom, date, attend college and travel. While trying to tap into my past and reminisce, I realized that I had spent majority of my life wishing I was somewhere else than where I was in life. I literally wanted to fast forward to the good parts. Typical adolescent behavior, but now that I am 24 (almost 25) I don’t really feel that way anymore.
I brought in 2016 alone in a hotel room in Iowa. I was following the presidential campaigns for my job at the time and I remember being a little sad because I was away from my family and friends, but also optimistic about 2016 would bring. So in my little hotel room nestled right next to the Des Moines International Airport I promised to work hard and be open to whatever came my way.
Did I work hard? Yeah.
I produced some of my best work.
Was I open to whatever came my way? Yeah.
2016 brought me more independence, a strong sense of confidence, discipline and patience; all characteristics I lacked the year before. I’m feeling more blessed and thankful than ever.
In 2017 I’m going to work much harder to manifest what I want in my life. Exhibit gratitude on a daily basis and take better care of myself.
All things that are easier said than done.
It’s going to be a journey, but that’s the fun part.
2016, peace out.
2017, Hey how’s it going? I’ve been expecting you.

Is it too early for October Favorites? If so, I’m sorry because that whats happening today haha.
If you’re like myself you probably spend an unhealthy amount of time on Instagram. I know it’s bad but first thing in the morning after I’ve meditated and had coffee, I check my feed. This is an integral part of my morning, how else am I suppose to know what going on? Ya know? Then afterwards I catch up on what’s going on in the world, and by that I mean I read the skim and read whatever NYT notifications are on my dashboard. Instagram before world news? That’s just how the cookie crumbles!
Naturally I have some favorite grammers this month. Their esthetic is on POINT and I’m constantly asking myself “where can I get that?!” Here are my top 5 favorite Instagrammers for the month of October!

Do you feel it? The air is crisper, there’s leaves everywhere and everything is pumpkin flavored. Fall is officially upon us, finally. I’ve been waiting for this moment for what feels like forever. Don’t get me wrong I love a little warmth, but I don’t like being sweaty all the time. Hooray for being able to get from point A to point B without being sweaty! Remember my sweaty rant?
I’m a sucker for pretty leaves, cold breeze and cozy days at home. I LIVE for cozy days at home, they’re good for the soul and your sanity.
Here’s how I’m keepin’ cozy this fall.
Throw| Mug| Scarf|
Throw| I’m a huge fan of snuggling up on the couch with the softest throw in the world. Throws are my weakness.
Blanket Scarf| I am in love with blanket scarfs. It makes it acceptable for me to walk out of my house wearing a huge blanket while still looking cute #fashion
Mug| For the ridiculous amount of hot beverages I consume. I love drinking out of pretty things.
Breakfast in Bed| One of my favorite things to do. I whip up a super easy brekkie, put it on a cute tray and enjoy it from the comfort of my bed with Netflix, obviously.
Journaling| Ahhh journaling, it does wonders for my busy brain. It’s nice to de-stress on paper.
Have a rad Monday babes!
Start today with a grateful heart
Let me know how you’re keepin’ cozy this fall.
